Basketball Girls

They're outgoing, loud, usually attractive, and you think they're smart, until it's too late. In junior high, they're the ones who would kick your ass if you missed a 2-pointer. They really know how to make you think they're your friend, though, and you WANT to be their friend! You don't even know why. They talk about each other all the time. It's a chore sometimes not to be just like them, just because it's so familiar. It's a pretty easy game to play.
By high school, you don't give a shit, but guess what? They're still here, even 20 years later!
I just realized that the Basketball Girls are a big reason I've never done much singing. I KNOW the things they say after they applaud. I've never been able to handle the possibility that some dumb cunt will diss my singing!
